 IntroductionThe Fabric Fairy, established in 2002, is an online-based retailer of fabrics for Quilters in Kent; our experience has taught us that cotton fabrics do not like digital photography and that buyers are therefore put off because they cannot feel the quality or get an exact match for the shades of the colours they require. We have therefore introduced our free 'Swatch Sample' service from late summer 2011: simply ring us with details of the colours/shades you require and a small sample will be sent to you free of charge with no obligation.
On the first page, you'll see a list of upcoming events we will be trading at; if you would like The Fabric Fairy to attend your Patchwork/Quilting group, please contact us. We will travel anywhere in Kent free of charge - but would appreciate as much notice as possible!!
Prices for our fabrics start from just £7.50 per metre + postage at cost price and we will ship anywhere in the world. Payment can be made by card, cheque or cash; we accept sterling and Euros (please ask for exchange rates if required).

We have recently relocated to new premises in Dover and aim to cater specifically for the needs of Quilters, our experience being that more and more retail shops serving this craft are forced to close as overheads become ever higher.
We recycle and reuse just about everything we can - don't be surprised if your parcel arrives in a Cadbury's Dairy Milk outer! We're not eco warriors, we just embrace the principle that greener is better, and we do all we can to reduce our carbon footprint - the other benefit of reusing packaging is that it keeps our overheads down and helps us to keep our retail prices lower to you.
We ship anywhere in the world every weekday, and Saturdays on request. Postage rates shown on this website are for 1st Class Letter or Packets post to UK postcode addresses - if you live outside the UK, different postage rates will apply - please contact us for full details and prices. 'Signed For' service is available on request at additional cost of £0.75 to the UK and £3.70 to all other countries.

Our office hours are 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday and 10am - 12.30pm Saturdays |  NewsNews reaches us that John James have withdrawn their Size 11 Big Eye Quilting Needles with immediate effect due to ongoing production difficulties; for us, this is bad news as it was our best-selling needle. We still have good stocks of the Size 10 Big Eye Quilting Needle, and we understand that this is to remain in production. That goodness for that!
And.....finally.......the return of the Clover Mini Iron!! After two years of wrangling with the EU, Clover's hugely popular and iconic product makes a very welcome return. It's undergone a revamp and now has interchangeable tips; it's also been hoiked up in price, but sadly that's to be expected these days. You can find the new Mini Iron II in the Clover section.

For those customers who wish to pay by Cheque, UK Postal Order or cash, please select the 'Cheque On Delivery' or 'Cash On Delivery' options in the final payments page and an invoice will be sent to you. Your goods will be sent by 1st Class Royal Mail post immediately upon receipt of your payment.
