Welcome To The Fabric Fairy

The Fabric Fairy now offers a small range of online fabrics, calico, wadding and basic kits. Our kits are designed for quilters and stitchers looking for easier projects designed to help learn the crafts involved: we hope you enjoy trying them out - a particularly popular kit is the Sashiko starter kit, a basic introduction to a traditional Japanese craft that really is easy to learn. With Sashiko, imagination is the key to projects that end up looking truly stunning - all from a running stitch!!

Brand new in the shopping cart is our Harris Tweed cushion cover, backed in genuine wool Scottish tartan. At just £14.95 each, these superb cushion covers make excellent Christmas gifts, especially if you have to post. Dare one say, we feel these make excellent gifts for men!

In May 2012, we're putting together a 3-day trip to take in the world-famous Beamish Quilts collection at the Beamish open air museum just outside Chester-le-Street in County Durham. 18th - 20th May, departures from Canterbury, Folkestone or Maidstone with two nights B&B in the Durham area, entrance to Beamish Museum (including an 'up close' look at the quilts and a talk from the keeper) and a Sunday morning trip to The Quilter's Cupboard near Durham. Returns to Kent Sunday pm dropping off at the places we picked up from early Sunday evening. Cost is anticipated to be in the region of £160 per person; no bookings being taken just yet, but if you'd like to register your interest in the trip, please email us at fabric@thefabricfairy.co.uk - don't forget to bring along all Quilting widowers, there's plenty for them to do at Beamish for a day whilst you're looking at quilts.....

We've moved! Our new offices in Dover are much larger than our old premises in Eythorne and we're looking to get a much improved service as a result.
